Katsumi Purbeck, known to firends and clients as Kat, has always believed that real estate is first and foremost about relationships.  Originally from Japan, he moved to Pierce County in the late 80's with his military family and quickly came to love the Tacoma area.  Though he now lives on Vashon Island with his wife and an energetic flock of chickens, his connection to Tacoma continues to guide his real estate work throughout the greater Puget Sound region.

Before becoming a REALTOR®, Kat spent over two decades in banking, where he built a reputation for honesty, clear communication, and outstanding customer service.  His 23 years of experience - from Real Estate Lending to Commercial Banking to Special Credits - give his clients an invaluable advantage: He understands the financial side of a transaction inside and out, and he ensures clients feel confident and informarted every step of the way.

Kat is a Certified Negotiations Expert who works tirelessly to help clients find the home or investment that truly fits their needs.  Known for being able to connect with just about anyone, he often finds that his clients become lifelong friends - and he wouldn't have it any other way!
